Disaster Preparedness Hits Home 💙
We're not exaggerating when we say our CEO Bratton Riley (pictured left) has a lifetime of experience in local government. His father, Joe Riley (right), is well-known as one of America's longest serving mayors—spending over 40 years as the mayor of the city of Charleston, SC.
In September 1989, Hurricane Hugo devastated Charleston and the surrounding community. Following the storm, a teenaged Bratton was one of the volunteers working the phone lines to provide aid to the city's residents. With first-hand experience in the city's response efforts, he understands the challenges government communicators face and the importance of establishing communication strategies even before disaster strikes.
